Emily is currently continuing with her studies at CILEx Law School with the aim of qualifying as a Chartered Legal Executive.

Emily provides assistance to our lawyers in the Wills, Probate and Trusts department on a range of matters. Under supervision she drafts Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Inheritance Tax forms, and Deputyship application forms, and is fully involved in the administration of Trusts and Estates.

Outside of the office:

In her spare time, Emily will most often be found sketching or painting, but she does also enjoy walking, reading, playing piano, and attending the theatre.

Michelle joined the team in February 2021 as a conveyancing assistant. She obtained a LLB from Cardiff University in 2018 and has been working in residential property since. She specialises in drafting contracts, reviewing enquiries, dealing with registration and HMLR requisitions and handling exchanges and completions.

Outside of work, Michelle enjoys physical fitness and sports, competing in friendly and competitive Netball for over five years and has completed the Cardiff half marathon.

Before joining Parrott and Coales in 2005, Jane worked for many years in the financial services industry and she has considerable experience in dealing with various types of financial products and policies.

Sonam Khan
Solicitor - Family Law

After working as a paralegal for a year in a renowned property firm in London, Sonam then went on to commence her training contract and spend six months training in Family Law, specialising in Domestic Abuse and Child Care Proceedings. She undertook seats in Property Law, Private Client and Court of Protection. During her Family Law seat Sonam was able to be involved in some renowned High Court cases.  Sonam then qualified in 2019 and spent a further 12 months in Private Client. She joined the team in March 2021 where she is a Solicitor in the Family Law department specialising in Divorce, Matrimonial Finance and Child Contact.

Sonam has previous experience representing a range of clients in non-molestation and return hearings as a trainee and was able to undertake her own advocacy in the Central Family Court in London and Croydon. She has previously worked at Citizens Advice as a Gateway Assessor, Advisor and Adviceline Teamleader and has a thorough generalist knowledge of benefits, debt, housing and other areas of law allowing Sonam to provide holistic advice to her clients.

Outside the Office

During Sonam’s spare time, she enjoys cooking and learning new recipes as a way to try different cuisines and spending free moments with family and friends. As well as this, she has previously participated in ‘Enabling Enterprise’ to help young people who are from socially disadvantaged backgrounds gain an insight into Law and now acts as a mentor to young people who are looking to enter the profession.
